Navigating special education together through consultation, education, and advocacy.

My mission as the NET Special Education Consultant is to work with you to navigate special education through consultation, education, and advocacy. Special education processes, jargon, and paperwork can be confusing and overwhelming to decipher.  As the NET consultant, I have an in-depth understanding of the “language” of special education in the academic setting and the ability to listen to parents' concerns with calmness, compassion, and empathy. Because I can speak both “languages,” I can act as a bridge between the family and the school district to ensure your voice is heard. Whether you are beginning special education with an initial referral or need support with your child's current IEP, the NET goal is to support parents and families and empower them with confidence to make informed decisions to meet their students’ basic and unique needs.
